Turriga: The land, the vine, and the wine
A red wine created from local vines, Turriga narrates the island's memory with an international language
The Genesis
Turriga was born from the now mature vision of the Argiolas family
A ruby red produced from traditional grape varieties, Turriga recounts the ancient memories of the Mediterranean island to the world in a contemporary and international style. It fully expresses the robust philosophy of the Argiolas house, which, codified by the patriarch, dates back to the 1980s. It was then that Antonio, born in 1906 and who died at over a hundred years old, never tired of tackling innovation, shared with his sons, Franco and Giuseppe, the idea of bottling the product from the grapes ripened in the vineyards not far from Serdiana, the winery's hometown, a scene of sacrifice and passion and the heart of the family's entrepreneurial history.
The Argiolas vision, born from a love of the land and a broad perspective on the world, was realized with the involvement of the prestigious winemaker Giacomo Tachis and his apprentice Mariano Murru, now the winery's technical director. The imperative was to present Sardinia with an innovative approach. For the first time, through expert blends unfamiliar with traditional techniques, local varieties could blend together to create—in a previously unseen harmony—a long-lived, balanced, and powerful wine.
